Combi Cafe

Combi – Brand Identity
BRANDING, PACKAGING, COLLATERAL
This project was first ever brand guideline project. It was a project for my Illustrator class. I really enjoyed redesigning the logo for Combi. This project is not affiliated with the cafe in Byron Bay, Australia. I chose it because I felt there was room for improvement for the logo and I fell in love with the cafe when I visited.
The brand guidelines for this project cover a little bit about the cafe, moodboard, colour palatte, typography, logo creation, imagery, and a mock up of a homepage.

PROCESS
01. Brainstorm
For this project, I wanted to redesign the logo for one of my favourite cafe’s I’ve ever visited. Taking inspiration from the location of being near the beach, I wanted to keep it playful and fun.
02. Create
After I got my inspiration and creativity flowing, I made several versions of the logo before the finalizing the last one.
03. Design
To complete this project, I made a brand guideline package with details about the typography, colour, logo do’s and don’t’s, and other important information.
01. Brainstorm Identity
The logo redesign is inspired by the ocean, sun soaked beaches, and laid back nature of Byron Bay. The locals base their schedules off the time of when to go surfing and where the best Australian coffee is. COMBI initially started out of a Kombi Volkswagen, so I thought it would be fitting to include one with this rebrand.

02. Create Brand Guidelines
